Counselling, Somatic Therapy & Massage
Welcome.
I’m Carly Lauder. A Registered Therapeutic Counsellor & Registered Massage Therapist.
Whether you are here for physical nourishment or support with your mental health, I am here to offer a safe place to land.
Shelter from the storm. A refuge for you to rest and gather your strength.
This human life can be wild and mysterious and challenging, stretching us beyond what we believe we are capable of sustaining. We can get stuck, not knowing how to break free from unhelpful patterns, or how to cope with the intensity of the feelings we are experiencing.
The good news is that you don’t have to do it alone.
Together, we can bring compassionate awareness and a deepening understanding to your experience and work together to create the changes you are seeking.
"It was very easy to trust Carly. Her approach is respectful and empowering, which is so important to me. I was always able to return to my inner authority. Coming back to my body allowed for the natural intelligence and wisdom that is always there, to emerge.”

SERVICES
REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPY & TRADITIONAL THAI MASSAGE
Traditional Thai Massage is performed fully clothed on a floor mat and incorporates a combination of deep tissue acupressure, compression, and yoga-like stretching.
It can be used as a form of physical therapy to improve circulation, flexibility, and muscle tone. This blend of acupressure and stretching is especially beneficial for those who find themselves
stiff, sore, and tired from over-exertion in work or sports. By encouraging lymphatic function, this therapeutic deep tissue
massage and stretching can also detoxify the body, strengthen the
immune system, and prevent injury by promoting flexibility and supple joints and ligaments.
Thai Massage is the perfect complement to any exercise routine and is suitable for clients of all ages and abilities.
COUNSELLING & SOMATIC THERAPY
Counselling offers a safe space to collaboratively explore your unique life challenges, deepen self-awareness and self-compassion, and break free from painful patterns using a client-centred, mindfulness-based, somatic and trauma-informed approach.
Relational Somatic Therapy is designed to gently, respectfully, and compassionately support the renegotiation of trauma and one’s ability to access the body’s wisdom and innate ability to rebalance and regulate.
It is backed by the latest research in neuroplasticity (how the brain changes) interpersonal neurobiology (how our relationships affect us and our nervous systems) body-based trauma resolution, and attachment theory.
“In the depth of winter I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer.”
